Terms of Service

ChatMeet — last updated: August 31, 2026

1. Who provides the service

ChatMeet is a brand of and provided by URSCHILD UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Nordstrandweg 2, 22047 Hamburg, Germany ("we"), represented by its Managing Director Said Abdullah SADAT. Contact: support@chatmeet.app. These terms form the agreement between you and us when you create a ChatMeet account.

2. The service

ChatMeet lets adults discover people nearby and exchange messages. Discovery uses your live location only with your consent; message requests are limited (currently 5 open requests) to discourage spam. We may change, add, or remove features as the service evolves. The app is currently offered free of charge; if paid features are ever introduced, they will be clearly marked and require your active purchase.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old. You may create one account, with accurate information about yourself, and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may ask you to complete verification steps (e.g. a liveness face scan) to protect the community; accounts that fail or refuse verification may be limited.

4. Rules of conduct

ChatMeet is for genuine personal contact. It is prohibited to: impersonate another person or use fake profile data; harass, threaten, or degrade other users; send sexual content to users who have not clearly welcomed it; use the service for commercial advertising, prostitution, scams ("romance fraud"), or solicitation of money; post content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes others' rights; attempt to scrape, probe, or disrupt the service technically; or use the service while under 18. We may remove content, limit features, suspend, or delete accounts that violate these rules, choosing the mildest effective measure.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to the content you post (photos, texts, messages). You grant us the technical licence needed to operate the service — storing, transmitting and displaying your content to the users it is addressed to. We do not use your content for advertising and do not sell it.

6. Safety

We do not run background checks on users. Be careful when meeting people from the internet: meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and never send money to people you have not met. Use the in-app options to delete conversations, and report unacceptable behaviour to support@chatmeet.app. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account; deletion of your data follows the Privacy Policy. We may terminate the agreement with reasonable notice, or immediately for serious violations of section 4.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual duties, limited to typical foreseeable damage. We are not responsible for the conduct of users on or off the service. The service is provided as-is within reasonable availability; it may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance.

9. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms for good reason (legal changes, new features). We will announce material changes in the app at least 30 days in advance; if you do not agree, you can delete your account before they take effect.

10. Final provisions

German law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. If a provision of these terms is invalid, the remainder stays in force. The European Commission's online dispute-resolution platform is at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr; we are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
